In 2022, I worked as a design intern for the NASA Ames Research Center on the Scheduling and Planning System for Exploration (SPIFe) team. Part of my internship project was to create concept art for Playbook, a self-scheduling mission planning tool that SPIFe manages. A key part of Playbook’s vision was enabling crew autonomy with its self-scheduling feature, crucial as humans travel longer distances and instantaneous communication with Earth becomes more difficult, if not impossible.
It was an honor contributing art to NASA. I enjoyed collaborating with the team to ensure that the artwork accurately depicted the vision of Playbook and the beauty of outer space!

I drew a lot of art inspiration from retro space illustrations in Piers Bizony’s "The Art of NASA"

Also, I included some Easter eggs, see if you can spot them all!
- Cameos of the SPIFe team members
- Percy the rover (SPIFe was the main developer of the 2020 Perseverance mission planning tool)
- ISSpresso machine (we’re a team of coffee lovers!)
