Visual + audial cinemagraphs for the virtual 2021 Frost Music + Art Festival art exhibition. Spring quarter in person at Stanford is always a treat for all five senses: sunshine, birds singing, flowers in full bloom...
Due to the pandemic, the 2021 art exhibit took place in a virtual gallery, making it difficult for visitors to experience the spring beauty of campus up close. I took advantage of the virtual format to bring a piece of campus to life through cinemagraphs, artwork pieces accompanied by animation and sound. They are able to be experienced by all viewers, wherever they are and whenever they visit.
About the Pieces
Meyer Green is a popular lawn with an outdoor cafe, and the Shriram Center is one of the engineering buildings. The two locations are spots of contrast. Outdoor versus indoor. Sunny versus shaded. Lively versus quiet. Bustling versus solitude.
Virtual exhibit is viewable here. Sound recommended for best experience.
